When you schedule a job using SAS Visual Data Builder with Hot Fix I9T002 or Hot Fix 19T003 installed, it generates extraneous .sas files on the file system. The unused .sas files can be manually deleted by administrators.
When you schedule a job from SAS Visual Data Builder, it generates two .sas program files under the Jobs directory on the file system. The .sas file that is created second is used by the scheduled job. The first .sas file that is created is not used and does not negatively impact the scheduled job. The unused .sas file can be manually removed by an administrator with appropriate privileges to the following directory on the compute server: SAS-configuration-directory\Levn\Server-Context\SASEnvironment\SASCode\Jobs
The administrator can complete the following steps to identify which .sas files in the Jobs directory are associated with scheduled jobs using SAS® Management Console:
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
Note: The hot fix prevents the creation of extraneous .sas files for future scheduling actions. The hot fix does not remove existing .sas files. You should manually remove all .sas files that are not scheduled.
